We are absolutely thrilled to share that we have officially marked the launch of Help Helps CIC with our very first community workshop right here in Acton, West London! The event was an incredible milestone for us, bringing together passionate community members, our wonderful local residents and expert guest speakers to raise vital awareness about community safeguarding Acton, the power of early intervention services and the essential social welfare support West London families can access through our new organisation.
Why We Started Help Helps CIC: Bridging the Gap
For many families across the London Borough of Ealing, navigating local authorities, government systems and support networks can feel completely overwhelming. During our workshop, our founder, Bibi highlighted the critical barrier we set out to break down: a lack of clear, accessible information.
"Many people are unaware of the help available from the government and other organisations, and because of this lack of awareness, they often miss out on vital support," Mrs Bibi explained during her opening address.
Our core mission at Help Helps CIC is to act as a trusted guidance system and a practical bridge. We want to ensure that no one in our neighbourhood misses out on the essential lifelines they are legally entitled to simply because the paperwork or systems feel too complex.
Our Practical Assistance: Preventing Crisis Before It Starts
We operate as a dedicated Community Interest Company based in West London, focusing heavily on early outreach. Our goal is simple: we want to step in with our early intervention services to prevent everyday challenges from escalating into a full-blown family crisis.
Whether someone is experiencing difficulties at home, facing barriers in the wider community, or simply struggling to understand complex letters, our team provides confidential, hands-on help. Every single day, we are open to help residents with:
Disability support Acton: Guiding individuals and families through local accessibility and care services.
PIP application help Ealing: Providing specialist, one-to-one guidance to fill out complex Personal Independence Payment forms correctly.
Blue Badge applications: Helping individuals with mobility issues secure vital parking passes.
Safeguarding advice: Offering direct family protection guidance and advice where clear information is often lacking.
De-coding official letters: Helping residents understand and respond quickly to complex government correspondence.
It was incredibly moving to hear local resident Adipa kindly share her experience of working with us during the event, proving exactly why we do what we do:
"Whenever you get a problem, you get any email which you don't understand, any message, anything... they respond very quickly and are helping you and guiding you the way the law says."
Putting Safeguarding Back into the Community
Safeguarding is at the absolute heart of our organisation. Renowned safeguarding speaker Seamus Doherty joined us at the workshop to emphasise why grassroots, community-led initiatives like ours are so vital to modern society.
Statutory services and local authorities cannot be everywhere at once, but neighbours, local groups and community networks see what is happening much earlier. By training our community to recognise the early signs of risk, neglect, isolation or vulnerability, we can ensure that we all know exactly where to go and what to do to protect those who need it most.
Moving Forward Together
This launch workshop is just the very beginning of our journey to build a safer, more supportive and better-informed West London. We want to say a massive thank you to everyone who attended, spoke and supported our launch, including our wonderful team of volunteers and community partners.
If you or a loved one needs confidential advice, help with applications, or general safeguarding guidance, our doors are officially open and we are here to walk through the process with you.
